This Privacy Policy describes how Instruction Cards ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app. The App is developed by br8studio.
- The App does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, or any other identity information.
- The cards you create — their titles, steps, notes, warnings, photos, and videos — are stored only on your device.
- Photos and videos you capture or select for a card stay on your device; they are not uploaded anywhere unless you choose to share that card.
- If you share a card, a copy of that card (including its images and videos) is uploaded to our cloud storage so the recipient can open it from a link.
- We do not use advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
Information We Process
1. Cards you create
Everything you put into a card — its name, icon, description, individual steps, notes, warnings, images, and videos — is written to local storage on your device. We have no server that holds your cards and no way to read them, unless you explicitly share a card as described below.
2. Camera and photo library access
If you add a photo or video to a step, the App asks for access to your camera or photo library. The media you pick is copied into the card on your device only. The App does not scan, index, or upload the rest of your photo library.
3. Sharing a card
Sharing is entirely optional and only happens when you tap Share on a specific card. When you do:
- A copy of that card — its text, images, and any embedded videos — is uploaded to our cloud storage (Microsoft Azure, in the European Union).
- The upload is given a random, unguessable identifier and a share link. Anyone who has the link can open the card in a browser or in the App, so only send the link to people you want to see the card.
- The shared copy contains exactly what is in the card. Do not put personal or confidential information into a card you intend to share.
- We do not attach your name, device identifier, or any account information to the uploaded card.
When someone opens a share link on the web, our server fetches that card from storage and renders it. Videos embedded in a shared card are not played on the web page — they are only available when the card is opened in the App.
4. Locally stored data
The App stores the following only on your device, never on our servers:
- Your cards, steps, and attached media
- App settings and preferences (such as theme and display options)
This data is deleted if you uninstall the App. If you have device backup enabled (iCloud Backup on iOS or Google/Android backup), your cards may be included in that backup under Apple's or Google's own privacy terms.
5. What we do NOT do
- We do not require account creation or login.
- We do not use advertising networks.
- We do not use behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Retention
Cards stored on your device remain there until you delete them or uninstall the App. Cards you have shared remain in our cloud storage so the link keeps working; if you want a shared card removed, contact us at the address below with the share link and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Because the App does not collect identifying information, we normally hold nothing that can be linked to you. If you have shared a card and want it deleted, or you have any other request regarding your data, write to us and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
